⚖️
Strong case? You may qualify for our Hybrid Model — reduced upfront cost + No Win, No Fee. Pay a small upfront retainer of $500–$750 + HST to open your file and cover disbursements. If we recover money, our fee is 20–25% of the amount recovered — and your upfront retainer is credited against that fee. If we recover nothing, you owe nothing beyond the disbursements actually spent. Per LSO Rule 3.6-2 and Ontario's Solicitors Act O. Reg. 195/04, a separate Contingency Fee Retainer Agreement is required — we send it via DocuSign. Ask at your free review.
💡 Hybrid Model: Qualify for reduced upfront ($500–$750 + HST) + 20–25% contingency, with upfront credited on success. Ask at your free review.  |  Cost awards: If you win, the court may order the other side to pay up to 15% of your claim toward your legal fees — partially or fully offsetting your flat fee. Many clients recover their legal costs entirely. Payment plans available. All retainers held in LSO-compliant trust via LawPay. Qualifying clients may access reduced rates through Justice & Equity Canada.
Case Law & Context

Legal Precedents That Shape How We Fight

The cases below are publicly available decisions on CanLII — Canada's free public legal database — cited here for educational illustration of the legal principles we apply. They are not our cases. Every matter is different; outcomes depend on your specific facts, evidence, and circumstances.

Full Net Judgment
Commercial Debt · Invoice Dispute

In this Ontario case, the court awarded the plaintiff the full net amount owed on unpaid commercial invoices after applying set-off — confirming that a creditor can recover exactly what they are owed, within the court's monetary limit, even where a counterclaim exists. We rely on this principle in commercial debt recovery.

Full Limit Per Plaintiff
Multiple Plaintiffs · Independent Claims

This decision confirmed that where multiple plaintiffs each have independent causes of action — distinct losses from the same event — each may claim the full monetary limit of the court independently. This principle guides our strategy when multiple parties are harmed and wish to pursue claims together.

Damages + Costs
Default Judgment · Undefended Claims

Where a defendant fails to file a defence or appear, Ontario courts regularly grant default judgment for the full amount claimed, plus pre- and post-judgment interest and partial cost awards. Default motions are among the most efficient routes to recovery — and we move quickly to pursue them when the facts warrant.
